Liquid Allowances on Planes

Travelling in the UK & European Union

Hand luggage: All of your liquids and make-up containers must fit inside ONE clear, plastic, sealed zip-lock bag (you can get these at all airports before you go through security). Maximum 100ml per container. 1 zip-lock bag allowed per person travelling. This means all water bottles and containers must be empty when you go through security. Most (decent) airports have water refill points once you’re in the gate area. Anything purchased in Duty Free usually does not have limits. Tip: Many of the bigger European airports have pharmacies (that’s a drug store for you Americans) in the gate area where you can buy cosmetics, drinks, and sunscreen/lotion, and it usually ends up being much cheaper than buying it when you get to the beach.
